The guys in the chandlery told us to go to the car supplies shop to buy a gas strut for one of the deck lockers, similar to those that lift the boot lid of a car. They even offered to go to the shop for us, but we declined their offer. It was a good excuse for us to have a break from work on the boat and get some exercise walking the 20 minutes to the shop. Again the young man in the shop was incredibly helpful and we came away with the piece we needed for the princely sum of 10 euros. The locker lid is no longer a danger.
The Sylvester and Tweety Pie ferry is in the harbour. ( I can’t remover the name of the dog ). So the phrase of the day is “I tawd I taw a puddy tat”.
In the evening we went back to Casa Mia, the restaurant we had been to on the first night. We were greeted warmly. The place was again packed in no time flat, this time, mostly with workmen, who looked like they had go there straight from work to eat. They all had great camaraderie with the two waiters, who were flying round the place, keeping up with the orders. I hadn’t taken my phone, with my green pass on it, but, thankfully, as they had seen it on Friday, and Steve had his, they were happy to serve us. The food is just delicious and we can get plenty of vegetables. We were also given a complementary glass of masala and almond biscotti with the bill. We are regulars now.
