Our new sailing friends, Nigel & Fiona joined us for breakfast and we were able to exchange stories and information. Having met them in Bari, it was great to catch up with them again.
We said our farewells to Stevo & Jasna, then made our way from this beautiful island of Lastovo across to the next island in, Korcula, which is also stunningly beautiful. Our first choice of bay didn’t look very promising, as the mooring buoys appeared to be in areas too shallow for us and the water was too deep to anchor nearer the middle. No matter, we just went round to the bay, Uvala Tarsce, where we picked up a state run mooring buoy. A rib from the local restaurant came with their menu, which they would take us ashore to eat from, or deliver food to the boat, but we had food that needed to be eaten so we stayed onboard. There were several boats in the bay, with a lovely holiday atmosphere. A German couple came past in their dinghy, which had a sail on it. It looked great fun to be able to potter about the bay like that. We may be looking at investing in one of those. They are Dutch made & can take a sail, oars, or an outboard engine.
