The day started well. A guy came round in a rib selling bread and the biggest croissants that I have ever seen. We had to buy them.
Our destination was Uvala Hilaca on the island of Zut. There is a buoy field run by the restaurant, and we understood that if you ate there, there were no other charges. We phoned and booked to be sure of a place. The day following the usual pattern of wind increasing from nothing in the morning.
When we arrived we were told to go to the jetty rather than a buoy, and with some trepidation, as the chart did not show that it was very deep, we edged our way to the most outside part of the jetty.
The water here was even more crystal clear than the other places we have been, and we could clearly so the bottom, the blocks holding the mooring lines and the fish swimming below us. We all swam, as much to refresh and cool down as anything else.
The guy from the restaurant came and suggested that we pre-order, which we duly did. When Tricia and Chris returned they said that their choice had come down to fish from the grill or fish from the oven.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the maitre d' asked if we were the three British. We confirmed this, assuming that there could be no others. The meal was wonderful and the restaurant was soon full, with people coming in from the boats. I suspect that there was no other way to get there.
