It’s Bank Holiday Saturday and the train from Watford to Birmingham is full to overflowing. We decided to fly from Birmingham International Airport because of a more convenient arrival time. It’s quite equivalent in cost and time for us to get to Stansted, the only other airport reasonably convenient for us to fly from, direct to Zadar.
We boarded the aircraft on time and then were told there would be a one hour delay before take off, because of instructions from air traffic control. Well, you can’t argue with them.
By the time we were offered food, we were very hungry and I must say that the Ryanair offering of lasagne was much better than expected, especially when washed down with a nice Spanish Merlot.
An so our Autumn adventure begins.
