It has to be done, so the morning was taken up by doing the laundry, but in the afternoon we got the bikes out and went for a ride along a path mostly beside the harbour bay. It was an off road path, well away from any cars, so an absolute delight. It’s the first time we’ve had the bikes out this year.
Part of the route took us through an old military base
area, with a sign tells us that, although they think it has been cleared of
mines, it’s possible there may still be some. We also had a look at the new marina,
which is out that way, a long way from the town. It was not very full, which
didn’t surprise us. Getting supplies would mean having to hire a car to get
into town.
