There was no wind as we slipped away from our mooring, which was fine as we were committed to motoring all day.
We left the bay behind and then had to go through a relatively narrow channel between islands. A fishing boat was making for the same gap, and we slowed to let him go ahead. It was useful to follow his track although we were slightly surprised that as soon as he was through, he suddenly slowed and put his nets out. If we hadn't been alert it wound have been easy to motor straight over his net. Anyway all was well, and we detoured around him, only for him to start going fast again.
As we progressed we started to encounter more and more boats, many returning to their charter bases as they have to be back on Friday, for the Saturday changeover. We dodged in and out of some, but with no great problem.
When we arrived back outside Biograd we could see a great mass of boats queueing for the fuel dock. This can only accommodate 2 at a time, and there must have been at least 20 already waiting. They will have been there for hours, and one can only sympathise with those who came even later.
Entering the marina during the inflow of boats was interesting, they were streaming in with about a boats length between them. It was more complicated for us, as we were going to the owners section of the marina and had to start reversing near the entrance. I managed to make eye contact with the guy driving the boat behind us and with sign language indicated what we were about to do. He gave us space to manoeuvre and we cleared out of the way as quickly as we could.
Once we had docked, we were delighted to be greeted by our friends from home, Stevo and Jasna. We had been neighbours in Amersham for 20+ years, and now we are neighbours again in Biograd, their boat is a little further down the same pontoon as ours. We went for a meal together in the evening. Their son who is looking after both our boats while we were here, arranged for a meal at his friend's restaurant, and organised the menu for us. We didn't have to do anything when we arrived, delicious food just arrived at the table. Fabulous!
