19 October 2022 - Biograd

We woke to thick fog this morning, we could barely see the boats on the other side of the marina, so we were very glad that we were safely in port. Later in the day, the sun burnt off fog and then the wind kicked.  This impacted some of the jobs that we could do, taking the sails down was out of the question.

So we set to on other non weather dependant jobs, like the laundry and a much needed haircut for me.  This is always an interesting experience when divided by a language barrier, but it worked out well.

While we ate lunch we were able to watch the marinaros building the pontoon bridge that will be used by the attendees at the Boat Show, to cross from one side of the marina to the other. They have removed a line of pontoons from one side of the marina and moved the sections to directly behind our berth. As the marina still  needs to be functional during the show, the middle section pivots to allow boats through.  We have heard a bit about this and will be glad to see the finished article.  We will certainly have a great view!
